Is Breaking Records in Sports A Good Thing?????

The Charlotte Bobcats are facing this season as the worse possible losing team of all time. If they lose the next two games the Bobcats will become the worst losing team in the history of NBA that began in 1946. Although the owner Michael Jordan (The Greatest Basketball Player Ever) owns the Bobcats he can’t seem to bring a decent team to Charlotte because since he became the owner, the Bobcats have looked awful the past couple seasons. They are currently on a twenty one game losing streak and only seven wins for the season, many people are saying they will break the record because at this point NO ONE believes in them. They are broadcasting this game to witness the record breaking loss. I think this should motivate the Bobcats to play hard and win to make sure the media doesn’t broadcast Charlotte as a joke franchise. I believe they should shut these critics up and show everyone they are capable of winning game when they need to. The confidence level is very low and I think the team has given up and might just allow the remaining teams to beat them. I would hate to be in this position as an athlete because no one wants to be on a team that is not winning or an embarrassing season for the team and coaches.

Tiger's Back!

Tiger Wood has finally won in almost three years and he seems to be very happy to get this win. He won with five strokes ahead the rest which shows Tiger’s dominance of this game. This game was no fluke and he didn’t choke as he did in the past while having a lead. I wonder if he is going start off to his winning ways as he did before or still have problems winning. Watching the interview on Sports Center I felt that Tiger was not truthful about the question of his poor play was a mental effect that caused him not to perform well. He stated that his injuries caused him not to practice and with the lack of practice is the primary reason for his poor play. I believe Tiger is in denial about losing his wife, children, caddy and his father has an impact to his game play. When the rumors became a reality and all of the women that he had slept with tarnished his “good guy” image along with his marriage that was look as a joke because so many women had come out accusing Tiger of having an affair with them. When Tiger admits his flaws and acknowledge what he did wrong has affected his game play, he will return as the Tiger of old.

Does Sean Payton's Crime Fits the Punishment?

I believe the punishment to the New Orleans Saints fits the crime for the bounty program that was issued by the coaches for the past seasons because this is an awful way to play football. Many New Orleans fans don’t agree with the commissioner’s decision to suspend Sean Payton (current head coach) for the  whole 2012 season, along with the Saint’s former defensive coordinator, his suspension is indefinite. The fans do not see the seriousness of what these two coaches have done because football is not just a sport or entertainment to them, it is the way they pay their bills and the way they live. These coaches showed that they wanted to win at any cost no matter how they had to win; they just wanted a victory at any expense. This is very poor taste to target certain players to hurt, giving their team a better chance to win the game. These two coaches need to re-evaluate how they are going to fix this bad image that they have placed on this organization. Now the Saints has to worry about retaliation by other teams and worry about the player who had no knowledge of this bounty program, how they perceive this as a type of behavior and if they want to associate themselves with the New Orleans Saints. Sean Payton can use the time he is suspended to understand the seriousness of this negative program that he implemented for his defensive players and hopeful one day prove the everyone that he regreted his decison to have a bounty program.

Peyton Manning Decision to the Broncos????

Many people are wondering why Peyton Manning decided to choose the Denver Broncos as his new team when there were better teams that he could go to for a stronger chance to win a super bowl ring. I believe Peyton should have chosen San Francisco because they were only one turnover from going to the super bowl in which they had the game won.  San Francisco made it that far with a quarterback that was average and with Peyton they would have been a sure pick. Peyton’s multiple surgeries is the primary reason for him sitting out the whole season could be an important factor that lead to his decision; I believe he doesn’t want the pressure of win or bust. He is now questioning and others are too about his ability to come back as he was before his surgeries as one of the most elite quarterbacks in the league. Knowing he is doubting his abilities Peyton doesn’t want to put pressure of failure, I believe is a sign of weakness because being a quarterback in the NFL is a high pressure job and he’s getting paid well. I hope his decision to go to Denver doesn’t hurt his career although it has helped his pockets with a 96 million dollar contract but how much money would anyone risk at the account of their reputation. I wonder if it’s about money or winning at this point in his career.

Has the media affect Carmelo Anthony's game play?

I have watched one of the hottest teams fall in last few weeks. The New York Knicks were playing so well until Carmelo come back to play for them. The Knicks had a great record in the eighth spot for the playoffs and now dropped out of the final spot. Carmelo had an interview with a sports caster that questioned his willingness to share the ball and asked if he would like to be the player to take the final game winning shot rather than his team-mate, the hot shooting Jeromy Lin. Carmelo was bothered that the sports caster asked this question because Lin was up and coming and that he was the veteran and had a positive record of taking the last shot. Carmelo has let the media influence how he plays now. He doesn’t play the way he used to play with his team, now Carmelo is trying to fit with his team to make everyone happy rather than allowing the game come to him. His game play is starting to question the organization if he was actually worth bringing to New York because since his arrival from the injury they have only two wins and now on a six game loosing streak.
